The film's cast is led by Don Wood (TV's COLONIAL HOUSE, IN A FIX) and Christine Spencer (AUTOMATONS) and also includes Angus Scrimm (PHANTASM, TV's ALIAS), Reggie Bannister (PHANTASM, BUBBA HO-TEP), Michael Berryman (ONE FLEW OVER THE CUKOO'S NEST, THE HILLS HAVE EYES), Debbie Rochon (TROMEO AND JULIET, TERROR FIRMER) and Producer Larry Fessenden (HABIT, THE BRAVE ONE) with appearances by Pauley Perrette (TV's NCIS, ALMOST FAMOUS), John Levene (TV's DOCTOR WHO) and author Max Brooks (WORLD WAR Z, THE ZOMBIE SURVIVAL GUIDE). SATAN HATES YOU is inspired by Christian "scare" cinema of the 1950's - 70's and tells the story of two troubled individuals (Wood and Spencer) who find themselves on the fast track to losing their immortal souls. "This film is significantly larger than anything we've done before. With a huge cast and multiple locations around New York, Los Angeles and even Hell itself, I went into this shoot fearing I bit off more than I could chew. But our incredible cast and amazing crew made getting this ambitions project in the can a breeze." says McKenney. "It was almost too easy." SATAN HATES YOU is McKenney's fourth feature film, following the critically acclaimed AUTOMATONS. The film is produced by Larry Fessenden's company Glass Eye Pix, along with director McKenney's MonsterPants movies, Lisa Wisely and Jeremiah Kipp. Eric Branco is the Director of Photography. The list of names appearing in the upcoming SATAN HATES YOU continues to grow with the addition of Michael Berryman (THE HILLS HAVE EYES, THE DEVIL'S REJECTS ) and Debbie Rochon (TERROR FIRMER, TROMEO AND JULIET) to the cast. SATAN HATES YOU, inspired by films from the golden age of religious "scare" cinema, is the latest feature film from producer Larry Fessenden's Glass Eye Pix and writer/director James Felix McKenney's MonsterPants Movies. Shooting is scheduled to be finished in late June. "We're all pretty excited to be working with Michael Berryman." says the director. "I know people say that all of the time about this actor or that one, but it's true! He was in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST, for heaven's sake!" McKenney adds, "He's playing a somewhat comedic role in our film. It was actually an inspired casting suggestion on the part of co-star Angus Scrimm. Michael was the perfect choice and we're thrilled that he wanted to do it." Berryman called the script "A lot of fun" and that his role as an eccentric innkeeper as "Smart and clever." Scream Queen Debbie Rochon has appeared in over 150 films and is the co-host of Fangoria Radio show on Sirius satellite radio. "This will be a unique film which will have it's own special message for many people out there that are looking for something new. It's also been a dream to work not only on a project that includes Angus Scrimm and Reggie Bannister, the two lead actors from the PHANTASM film series, but also our New York indie film hero Larry Fessenden who is no stranger to making horror movies with messages himself!" Rochon recently told Fangoria. Also making an appearance in SATAN HATES YOU is Max Brooks, bestselling author of THE ZOMBIE SURVIVAL GUIDE and WORLD WAR Z. Reggie Bannister is the latest genre name added to the cast list for SATAN HATES YOU, following his PHANTASM series co-star Angus Scrimm. This is the first film to feature both actors since 1998's PHANTASM IV: OBLIVION. SATAN HATES YOU is the latest feature film from producer Larry Fessenden's Glass Eye Pix and writer/director James Felix McKenney's MonsterPants Movies. The film has been in the process of being shot in small segments since 2005 while McKenney and company worked on other projects, including the critically acclaimed AUTOMATONS. The final shoot, which makes up the bulk of SATAN HATES YOU, will be completed in June of 2008. Inspired by films from the golden age of religious "scare" cinema such as A THIEF IN THE NIGHT (1972), IF FOOTMEN TIRE YOU, WHAT WILL HORSES DO? (1971) and STALKED (1969), SATAN HATES YOU is a graphic horror film that tells the stories of two individuals and their personal struggles with the ultimate horror villain -- Lucifer himself. The film's producers are in the process of assembling a large ensemble cast, mixing well-known genre names with MonsterPants regulars. "Don Coscarelli's PHANTASM is one of my favorite films. It's the movie that introduced me to the work of Angus Scrimm, who we have used in three films so far. This has been such a wonderful working experience, that I figured I'd push my luck and see if we could borrow another talent from the Coscarelli pool. Reggie has such a unique screen presence and personality, that it was easy writing for him. I don't think his fans will be disappointed." says McKenney. He continues: "SATAN HATES YOU is very different film type of film compared to our earlier efforts. Despite the Christian morality play themes in the movie, it's the closest thing to a straightforward horror film that I've done so far.
