RE: CanniBallistic! Home Video Release!

MonsterPants Movies is pleased to announce the home video release of the feature film, CANNIBALLISTIC! This first film by writer/director James Felix McKenney will be available on VHS and DVD from Spectrum Films' Dead Alive label. Dead Alive is the home of a wide variety of horror titles, including Peter Jackson's MEET THE FEEBELES, and will be releasing CANNIBALLISTIC! on January 14, 2003. The pre-order date is December 24, 2002.

CANNIBALLISTIC! is the gory, tongue-in-cheek story of Will (Don Wood), a reluctant cannibal, who moves to the country in order to beat his addiction to human flesh. Doing so proves to be extremely difficult when his annoying new neighbors just won't leave him alone. It's enough to cause a man to go... CANNIBALLISTIC!

Featuring cinematography by David W Hale, CANNIBALLISTIC! employs a unique visual style as well as a talented and diverse cast including Winston Bramen, Laura Sweeney, D.W. Ferranti and DOCTOR WHO's John Levene.

"David Lynch meets Ed Wood at Tobe Hooper's place. More like this, McKenney!"
Larry Fessenden, Director of WENDIGO and HABIT

"I was totally entertained watching this film"
Eve Blaack, THE HACKER'S SOURCE

Newcomer James McKenney began his show biz career as a writer/ performer in the underground theater group House of Borax in Boston, Mass. circa 1991. There he worked with future CANABALLISTIC! collaborators.

A love of film brought him to Hollywood in 1996 where he worked as a screenwriter. When a critical film deal fell through, McKenney returned to his native Maine where he gathered together old collaborators and family to shoot in 16 days the original script CANNIBALISTIC! on a budget of beer and favors.

Distinguished by scenes of protracted dialogue, genuine wit and ironic compassion, with cinematic references to Italian horror maestro Lucio Fulci and the tonal detachment of David Lynch, the movie is a strange and potent blend of low-tech sensations and smarts that remind us of our favorite cult films.

CANNIBALISTIC! caught the eye of maverick horror-meister Larry Fessenden, and as a result, Fessenden and McKenney are currently collaborating on an animated series springing from Fessenden's horror feature, WENDIGO (Artisan 12/17/02). McKenney is also hard at work on his next film, SATAN HATES YOU.

CANNIBALISTIC! on DVD contains 30 minutes of bonus material, including:
A promotional railer, Deleted scenes and Unedited versions of the video segments seen in the film!
